Are drivers becoming more and more aggressive?

As part of the ARD talkshow Maischberger on November 21, 2018, our simulator was used for stress level determination. In the picture from left to right Nikolas Wach (TROUT), Michael Knötig (TROUT), Sandra Maischberger, Martin Bussas (TROUT), Florian Heidecker (University of Kassel). Panagiota Petridou, Germany’s most famous car dealer, steered a virtual small car through a simulated rush hour.

Test Ride with 3D Simulator

The detection and classification of human vital and cognitive parameters is effective and useful in many areas and opens up new possibilities, e.g. in medical technology, automotive / automation, aerospace, fitness / wellness and safety. At the steering wheel of our simulator, Michael Knötig with 3D data goggles is representative of more than sixty test persons, whom we were able to win with the support of the University of Kassel for a virtual car ride of nearly two hours through a wide range of traffic situations. A presentation of the first results will take place at the symposium for medical technology on 25.10.2018 in Ansbach.

Medtech & Pharma

The Medtech & Pharma Platform is an industry association with the aim of using the synergies between medtech and pharmaceutical industries by establishing a forum to exchange knowledge and collaborate in technology and regulatory areas, as well as to promote product development and innovation. The annual meeting of the Medtech & Pharma Platform is dedicated to products and solutions that combine medtech and pharmaceutical components. TROUT will give a lecture on the topic ‘Vital Data Analysis with Machine Learning Techniques’.

European Test and Telemetry Conference ettc2018

The ettc 2018 is the platform for telemetry, test instrumentation and telecontrol. In cooperation with SENSOR + TEST 2018, from 26 to 28 June in Nuremberg, ettc offered exhibitors the opportunity to meet international customers from industry, science and research. TROUT was represented at the special stand Sensor Technology and Measurement Technology in the Industrial Internet, as well as in the poster exhibition as well as with a lecture on the topic ‘Application of machine learning methods for the analysis of vitality data’.

R&D Project Vitality Data Analysis

To agree on the further approach concerning the development and to conduct a first experiment to test the preliminary version of our 'Intelligent Driver's Seat', the majority of the project participants met in TROUT's premises. This project, initiated by TROUT, (HA project no. 545/17-27) is funded in the framework of Hessen ModellProjekte, financed with funds of LOEWE – Landes-Offensive zur Entwicklung Wissenschaftlich-ökonomischer Exzellenz, Förderlinie 3: KMU-Verbundvorhaben (State Offensive for the Development of Scientific and Economic Excellence).

Representatives from industry, IT, science and politics discuss these topics in technical lectures with the objective of promoting networking across sectors. VitaB – R & D Project Vitality Data Analysis

TROUT's innovative concepts and experience particularly in the area of machine learning convinced the decision-making committee of the Hessian research funding program LOEWE so that we will receive funds to further develop our VITAsystem in a new R & D project. 

In cooperation the project partners TROUT GmbH, the University of Kassel and an industry partner will develop a prototype of an intelligent driver's seat processing the driver's vitality parameters and evaluating the cognitive states, among others, in the dimensions fatigue, focus and stress level.
