On the 12th – 13th of September 2019 MESCONF focuses on the benefits of modeling in the development of embedded systems. Successful are the companies that can respond flexibly and quickly with high-quality products to the changing requirements of the market. The I²oTHack is a hackathon in which innovative ideas from the field of Intelligent Internet of Things are implemented. On a long weekend from Friday to Sunday with hardware-related programming, databases, app and web programming much will be tried out and certainly new will be created. Innovation Forum Medizintechnik

TechnologyMountains, the IHK Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg and the MedicalMountains GmbH are organizing their eleventh Innovation Forum Medizintechnik in Tuttlingen on October 24, 2019. The forum offers a platform to present ideas, concepts and project results to an international trade audience in the lecture program or the accompanying exhibition. TROUT will talk about the various approaches of machine learning for vital data analysis.


Nanalysis Corp and Fraunhofer IMM anchor multi-party international research project. TROUT GmbH and Dr. Jason Hein of the University of British Columbia will join the principals on an exciting new research project, NMRplusX.

Fraunhofer Institute for Microengineering and Microsystems IMM (Mainz, Germany) and Nanalysis Corp. (Calgary, Canada) are the national leads on a new research project funded in part by the German and Canadian governments.

The project, NMRplusX, combines orthogonal spectroscopic analysis and chemometrics as a process analytical tool for calibration and self-optimizing chemical processes. The project is scheduled to run for 30 months.

Forum Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence has become the focus of many technical developments. In many fields of application, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning and neural networks are promising development paths, machine learning and neural networks are key technologies enabling systems to react autonomously and to make decisions independently on the basis of external influences. At the Forum Artificial Intelligence on May 14th in Stuttgart, TROUT will speak about the acquisition of vitality parameters and the classification of the cognitive state by machine learning. Are drivers becoming more and more aggressive?

As part of the ARD talkshow Maischberger on November 21, 2018, our simulator was used for stress level determination. In the picture from left to right Nikolas Wach (TROUT), Michael Knötig (TROUT), Sandra Maischberger, Martin Bussas (TROUT), Florian Heidecker (University of Kassel). Panagiota Petridou, Germany’s most famous car dealer, steered a virtual small car through a simulated rush hour.

Test Ride with 3D Simulator

The detection and classification of human vital and cognitive parameters is effective and useful in many areas and opens up new possibilities, e.g. in medical technology, automotive / automation, aerospace, fitness / wellness and safety. At the steering wheel of our simulator, Michael Knötig with 3D data goggles is representative of more than sixty test persons, whom we were able to win with the support of the University of Kassel for a virtual car ride of nearly two hours through a wide range of traffic situations. A presentation of the first results will take place at the symposium for medical technology on 25.10.2018 in Ansbach.

The Medtech & Pharma Platform is an industry association with the aim of using the synergies between medtech and pharmaceutical industries by establishing a forum to exchange knowledge and collaborate in technology and regulatory areas, as well as to promote product development and innovation. The annual meeting of the Medtech & Pharma Platform is dedicated to products and solutions that combine medtech and pharmaceutical components. TROUT will give a lecture on the topic ‘Vital Data Analysis with Machine Learning Techniques’.

European Test and Telemetry Conference ettc2018

The ettc 2018 is the platform for telemetry, test instrumentation and telecontrol. In cooperation with SENSOR + TEST 2018, from 26 to 28 June in Nuremberg, ettc offered exhibitors the opportunity to meet international customers from industry, science and research. TROUT was represented at the special stand Sensor Technology and Measurement Technology in the Industrial Internet, as well as in the poster exhibition as well as with a lecture on the topic ‘Application of machine learning methods for the analysis of vitality data’.
