Life Cycle Management (LCM) in NATO Conference in Brussels 23rd and 24th January presented fresh insights from researchers and practitioners into the visionary potential of merging AI technologies with LCM. Representing NATO, nations, and industry, speakers from around the world offered leading thoughts, practical implications, and challenges emerging from the confluence of AI and LCM, as well as other exciting developments in LCM in and around NATO.

Martin Bussas was invited to present TROUT’s VeDAS development in the field of predictive maintenance. It is an autonomous analysis tool for vehicle data. In particular, the possibilities that the system opened up through the use of a structure-borne sound microphone were met with great interest. Using illustrative examples, it was shown how a spectral analysis can indicate the beginning of a malfunction in moving parts.
